QA Architect

We are looking for experienced quality assurance engineers to join the Conjur team at CyberArk! Conjur engineers work on a wide variety of projects, from integrations with bleeding-edge DevOps tools to moonshot projects that seek to revolutionize the world of DevOps security. Our primary product is a secrets vault and privilege engine, built upon our open source core.

What kinds of things would you work on?

We know that if you’re a professional working in the world of software, experience with specific tools can be picked up quickly. That being said, Conjur QA architects are using the following tools on an almost daily basis:

  • AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Kubernetes, OpenShift, Cloud Foundry
  • Docker, GitHub, Jenkins, GitLab
  • Linux, OS X
  • Ansible, Puppet, Chef
  • Bash, Ruby, Go

What does this role entail?

The QA architect role provides accountability into the quality of the release and of the product. Quality is the responsibility of each member of the team, but QA is accountable for it.

This means quality education, validating and challenging existing test plans, creating new own test strategies and performing risk analysis for different releases. Since automation is a core value in our team, we expect our QA engineers to always be improving our levels of test automation.

As we are a growing team in this role you would create and promote standards for test development best practices whilst continuously improving upon the productivity and efficiency of our testing efforts.

Would you succeed on our team?

If a lot of the following apply to you, there’s a good chance that you’d be a fit for our team:

  • You have a passion for quality and process
  • The thought of learning new technologies thrills you
  • You like to challenge business requirements and understand the actual needs of the customer and verifying the team achieves them
  • You feel comfortable around code
  • You enjoy setting up quality standards and improving both customer experience and quality assurance
  • The challenge of finding the balance between fast delivery and quality delivery intrigues you

However, if you have a very non-typical background and you think we should still consider you, we’d love to hear why. Diversity of perspectives and experiences are very important to us.

Are you in the right location?

We are a distributed team, with members mostly on the east coast and mid-west of the USA, and some in Europe and Israel. We meet each day for a standup at 10:30am Eastern Time, so if you can attend that meeting and have enough overlap time before and after with other team members, your location shouldn’t be an issue. We can usually only hire people in countries where we have an existing office, but feel free to apply even if you don’t see your country on this list. We also travel to meet each other in person a couple of times each year.
